A farmer, with his indispensable dogs and horse, musters his sheep (probably merinos) on Glentanner Station in the MacKenzie Country with the Southern Alps and Mount Cook (at 3762 metres, New Zealand’s highest peak) towering beyond. Below the mountains there is just a glimpse of the upper reaches of Lake Pukaki.
