Engraving glass by hand has fascinated people ever
since it was developed in the 16th Century. In the early 1970s the 'Swiss Technique' of engraving glass was developed - this used a ball shaped tip covered with a large number of diamond fragments. In addition to the traditional dots and lines, the new ball shaped tools could now be used for engraving white areas and half-tones. |
