Dragons, castles and other enchanting mystical motifs are distinctive and well known trademarks of Teresa Wentzlers artistic endeavours.
An avid reader of fantasy novels since she was in high school, Teresa is inspired by selected classics, fairy tales, fables and stories of the paranormal. Lavish designs by Pre-Raphael artists, illustrations in turn of the century childrens books, and trends in the arts and crafts movement offer her other ideas. Often Teresa combines her favourite elements from some or all of these influences in her designs.
After graduating from high school, Teresa studied fine arts in college for a year. Taking off to marry, she returned four years later to a community college and earned her associates degree in advertising art.
Teresas charts have appeared in more than 50 leaflets and in several magazines and books. Teresa receives a lot of input and ideas from stitchers, which she finds extremely helpful when planning future designs.
From her home in Pennsylvania, Teresa enjoys stitching, knitting, listening to music, reading, walking and surfing the Internet to keep up with whats new in the needlework industry. A life long resident of the state, Teresa, her husband and their cats, Tom and Jake, appreciate all the charm of rural life, with town being not too far away. Working from a small studio in her home thats full of designing paraphernalia is convenient for Teresa.
